The Board of Directors will accept written resume’s from interested members until the close of office business on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. The resume’ should reflect your past business experience and Village history. The unfinished term runs until June, 2011.

Download questionaire and more details here . You may e-mail us document attachments at clvillage@psci.net. Hard copies may be dropped off at the office 24 hours a day.
Candidates must be prepared to attend the January 8th Board meeting which will be held at the Rec Center at 6:00 PM. A five minute interview will be held as the last item on the agenda.
After 6 months of open meetings, debate, bids and considerations, the Christmas Lake Village Board of Directors voted to approve a motion naming one residential trash pick up provider to service Christmas Lake Village.
The motion, rule, and provision call for all residential trash pick up in the Village to be performed on Tuesday and/or Wednesday of each week, and restricts entry of heavy trash trucks (a truck having a total tare weight in excess of 18 tons) to the designated provider. Veolia Environmental Services submitted the winning bid for a 3 year contract. Veolia is making arrangements to begin their additional service on January 7, 2009. You may have already received notice from Veolia about the change. New toters will be distributed the last week of December.
If you are currently taking your trash to the county dumping site, you may certainly continue to do so. If you are currently with another company they will not be allowed access in a heavy truck after the 1st of the year. Remember, this applies to residential services only. If you are using a provider that has a light weight truck, they must pick up on Tuesday, or Wednesday.
There are four primary reasons for going this way.
There will be but one heavy residential trash truck on our roads per week
Trash cans will be at curbside only from 6:00 PM the day previous to pick up until 6:00PM the day of pick up leaving our Village streets looking cleaner.
With one point of contact we are confident of improved overall service
The rate will be lower ($14.08/month) in many cases
If you have prepaid with your current provider, they should refund the unused prepaid amount.
Feel free to contact the Association office if you have questions.

Walkers/joggers- please wear colors that can be seen and carry a flashlight if you are out after dark. Walk into oncoming traffic and please, if you are walking 2 or more abreast, switch to single file if a car approaches you. Please put trash where it belongs, in your garbage cans. There are also public garbage cans throughout the village if you need. Please dont pollute our beautiful land and roads!!
Each CLV resident knows what a special place we have. Let’s remember to keep it that way.
Don’t throw trash or debris from your car. When taking trash to curb, store in container so animals cannot get to it.
Please rinse recycled items to reduce smell when utilizing recycling center.
